Repurpose building from public restaurant to private living space, joint and shared between two professionals needing separate working spaces that can, at times, interlock and interchange. The London Borough of Islington, where the building is located, imposes restrictions on the external facade, internal coating and structural elements. The redesign requires contemporary interiors (appropriate to London city style) and modern and experimental design that drives inspiration in their professional development in creative ways.

The facade represents the first gaze of the client at the people who inhabit the space. It is essential to transfer the idea of the understanding of the ‘old’ and the embracement of the ‘new’.

3 & 4: Working with light naturally entering the space and through opaque screens separating rooms, creating shadows and enstablishing undirect connections between people. Lighting Designer’s work to benefit the Bereavement Therapist’s studio

5 & 6: Artificial lights unconciously controlling people’s movement inside and way to occupy the space. Visually interconnecting spaces but physically separating life and work to demonstrate the learning process form Covid-19 Pandemic
